JOHN M. DELACY
Mr. DeLacy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from St. Mary’s College of California. His MBA Degree is from the Sacramento, California campus of Golden Gate University’s School of Business where he also received the University’s prestigious Graduate Business Award.
As an industry leader, Mr. DeLacy has over 40 years of experience in engineering, marketing, and related sales management and executive positions in the industrial burner market. His career focused on both new boiler applications and boiler retrofit conversions to optimize performance. In later years he served on NFPA’s ‘Technical Committee for Single Burner Boiler Operation’ to help set industry safety standards for the U.S. and much of the world. He has also served as Chair of the Burner Group for the American Boiler Manufacturers Association.
Most of Mr. DeLacy’s professional career was spent with Coen Company, Inc., a market leader in the supply of gas and oil combustion systems. He played a major role in developing Coen’s modular approach to packaged burners including factory mounted piping, controls and combustion air fans. His key positions with Coen included Application Engineering Manager, Product Line Manager, and Director of Marketing. In 1991 he relocated to Coen’s newly formed Woodland Division to serve as Vice President of Engineering and ultimately Vice President/Division Manager. Following his career with Coen, he later returned for several years as a consultant to Coen’s President in the role of Secretary, Coen Sales Rep Council, in representing the interests of Coen’s U.S. and Canadian sales rep organization.
Mr. DeLacy has written numerous articles and publications about gas and oil burner designs to optimize performance for boilers and furnaces. He has made frequent presentations to Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S. covering combustion related techniques that can be employed to reduce NOx and CO emission levels for industrial, utility, and refinery applications.
